The Loft changes all that!

The Loft Tekcams that make Blade FR, Blade RB and Switchblade designs compatible with both mast types- unique & exclusive from The Loft.  SDM and RDM Tekcams are simply switched, adapting to your mast type.
RDM masts are becoming “Standard” because RDMs are skinny- a fine leading edge is fast!  Additionally, RDMS are reliable- their thick mast walls not suseptible to mast deformation from cam pressure as are thin-walled SDMs.

An element of our Tekcam system is The Loft Metallic Cam Interface (MCI).  The Loft MCIs eliminate deterioration of the cam-mast panel contact point.
Without MCIs, degredation occurs at the cam-mast panel interface with each sail rotation- resulting in soft mast pocket tension & reduced aerodynamics/stability.
Loft MCIs maintain mast pocket tension by preserving cam-to-mast panel contact integrity.  The result is a clean, firm and stable mast pocket: aerodynamic optimization.

Another element of our Tekcam system is The Loft Tekcam spacer system.  Placing spacers at each cam will firm the mast pocket and force the sail shape slightly forward- a positive effect for upper-end slalom and speed windsurfing.  Spacers also allow our designs to adapt perfectly to various mast diameters; masts from various manufacturers are of varying diameters.
